Hunting for emotions
For whom: primary school students.
When: Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm
Joy, fear, boredom, surprise, sadness and curiosity are just some of the many feelings that can be experienced in front of a work of art. The activity ‘Hunting for emotions’ starts from the analysis of the emotions that the artworks of the exhibition ‘Francis Bacon and the existential condition in contemporary art’ can arouse during the visit and is completed with a creative experience where children make small works of art to communicate a different range of emotions. How can we translate what work arouses? Which words can we use?
During the first part of the experience children will be taken on a brief tour around the exhibition. In front of every work they will be invited to express their emotions, describing what they feel by choosing the most appropriate from a selection of about thirty words.
After putting into words their feelings, children will be accompanied to the educational room to participate in a creative activity.
Using different coloured paper cutouts every child will be invited to make a drawing to express a specific feeling, exploring the translation of emotions into a visual language.
Cost:
Visit + workshop: € 5.00 per student (admission included)
Reservations required.
Free admission for accompanying teachers.
Duration: two hours.
