SPECIAL EVENT / Framing and Constructing Beauty
On the occasion of the exhibition An Idea of Beauty, the CCC Strozzina has developed the special project Framing and Constructing Beauty, dedicated to students of art academies and other schools in Florence. The project will involve teachers of various arts subjects in order to initiate, within the different areas of study, a practical and theoretical reflection on the role of beauty in artistic production.
Reflections on this theme will be supported by educational materials distributed to teachers, and will consist of moments of discussion and debate within the exhibition An Idea of Beauty, in order to provide a direct experience of the theme through the perspective of eight contemporary artists.
At the end of the project, the teachers involved will select the student works that will have developed the theme in original ways. The most significant works will be shown in a public presentation on Thursday, May 30 at 18.30, in the rooms of the CCC Strozzina.
