Machweo is a musical project spawned in 2012 by the boredom of Giorgio Spedicato, who was born in 1992, has lived in too many places and too many houses but has now settled in Carpi, in the province of Modena. Imbued with dubsted, IDM and Balearic moods, Machweo’s gentle loops lead us towards distant shores over which the sun slowly sets behind plants swaying in the wind.  Over the past two years he has been busy both in the recording studio (two EPs and an album) and with numerous live performances (over sixty, throughout the length and breadth of Italy).  Public and professional response has been surprising, allowing him to build up virtually exclusive critiques both in Italy and abroad.  In the winter of 2013 Radio 2 invited him as a guest on its Musical Box programme, with a live performance bursting with new material.

The second Thursday of each month from 19:30 to 22:00, the courtyard of Palazzo Strozzi comes alive with the live music of the show Acoustic Carpet, organized in collaboration with the magazine LUNGARNO, and the activities of Creative in the courtyard to give shape to your ideas and create objects to share with others.
