Courtyard of Palazzo Strozzi – free entrance
Ofelia Dorme
Rimbaudian atmosphere, refined elegance and a heady mix of DIY flavors, the Bologna band’s music has its muse, the ‘”Ofelia” Francesca Bono, the front woman with a precious voice, who with her bandmates has been dominating the indie scene for a few years now. In February 2011, they released their first highly successful album “All Harm Ends Here”, followed by some videos that well illustrate the evocative style of Ofeliadorme. Also in 2011, as finalists for the Fuori dal Mucchio Award, they embarked on a national tour of 40 dates and a mini-European tour in France and the U.K. In September 2012, the Scottish producer HOWIE B, after seeing the video of the song, asked the band to remix the song ‘Paranoid Park’, released exclusively on the website of Rolling Stone. In the same year, they did a cover of “Bike” by Pink Floyd for the Canadian label Halcyon Records. The band has just finished recording its third album, produced by the band and by Bruno Germano. The album will be titled ‘Bloodroot’ and will be released in March 2013 by The Prisoner Records label, founded by the front man for Numero 6, Michele “Mezzala” Bitossi, and will be distributed in Italy by Audioglobe.
The second Thursday of each month from 19:30 to 22:00, the courtyard of Palazzo Strozzi comes alive with the live music of the show ACOUSTIC CARPET, organized in collaboration with Le Aspen Club, and the activities
of CREATIVI IN CORTILE to give shape to your ideas and create objects to share with others.
