I Camillas

Ruben Camillas (guitars, xylophone, vocals) and Zagor Camillas (keyboards, cymbals, vocals) born in Pordenone in 1964. Produce nothing for 40 years but in 2004 something extraordinary happens, the rock ‘n’ roll wants them and they accept. The way they present themselves says a lot about their attitude deliberately ironic and mocking. I Camillas are one of the very few Italian music that manages to hold together an extraordinary writing skills and an overflowing and engaging way of humor, as in the most authentic “traditional” Italian pop.

The Camillas produce their first EP in 2007 (“everubody in the stage,” Hard plastic prod.) Containing 5 memorable songs, while their debut long-term in 2009 with “The policies of the meadow”, a masterpiece that is of ‘eclecticism and sense of humor is not his strong points. The opening track “The Song of bread” soon became a catchphrase of the web and can be considered a manifesto of surreal poetry of the camillas. The new work of Camillas be called “Costa Brava”, will consist of 16 songs “game and bitterness, light and tragedy” and will be released in late 2012.
