Lecture by Carlo Antonelli

The decade condensed

Pop culture, mass media, as well as globalization and terrorism are the issues that mark the story of the past decade, the so-called Noughties. Carlo Antonelli introduces some reflections on the themes of these years still fast to archive, ranging from sociology and philosophy to the contemporary music criticism.

Carlo Antonelli is the director of the Italian edition of Rolling Stone magazine. In 2009 he edited the essay collection The Year Zero. Almanac of the decade condensate (Isbn Edizioni) within which collects the thoughts of philosophers, sociologists, journalists (and of course music critics) who by their activities have marked the past decade.
