Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Terry Gilliam

Inspired by the book by S. Thompson, born as a report of a jeep ride to Las Vegas for the magazine “Sports Illustrated”, then transformed into a journey on the road in hallucination. Terry Gilliam presents a clear and accurate report on the American dream of drugs and self-destruction: it was 1971, America was still in Vietnam, the ’60s were put aside, spiritually and politically. What could the improbable journalist Raoul Duke (Johnny Depp) and his Samoan attorney Dr. Gonzo (Benicio Del Toro) do but not run away to Las Vegas?
