The Elephant Man by David Lynch (USA, GB, 1980, 125′)

London, second half of the nineteenth century. Because of a very rare disease, neurofibromatosis, which gave him monstrous appearance, the young John Merrick is exposed as “elephant man” in the circus of Bytes, an alcoholic who lives leveraging its monstrosity and treats him like a beast. And ‘here that Merrick is discovered by Dr. Frederick Treves, a surgeon at the London Hospital in convincing Bytes cederglielo for some time so that you can study and treat.
