Partecipative Processes

Three workshops for adults, offered in the exhibition Declining Democracy. Rethinking Democracy between utopia and participation (23 September 2011-22 January 2012).

What is the meaning of participation today? The community is increasingly called upon to express opinions, create content, take a stand, talk about building a future based on the common good. Abuse of the term “participation” in the artistic, social and political, however, has the feeling of a parallel depletion of this word that has lost its original meaning. Are we confident that when we are asked to “participate” we are not treated as mere units of a system?

For those interested in discovering how to work more closely the dynamics of participation, how people can come together to escape the hierarchical system of economic, political and social dissent or expressing its self-organization, the Department of Education and Mediation of the CCCS presents Participatory Processes. Three double appointments leaded by experts from the worlds of art, communication, and economics to understand and discuss how to create a better society.
All workshops are free and limited to 15 participants per event. A reservation is required.
