Vito Campanelli
Process flow and Web
What are the aesthetic consequences of contemporary culture’s high volume use of the Web and what have been the effects on modern society? Is it time to upgrade, euphorically speaking, in terms of what remains in the limelight as interactive and creative? Vito Campanelli presents a critical overview of the digital culture, trying to analyze what is left after the initial optimism about a network that seemed to open the doors to a better future characterized by the rhetoric of socializing online.
Vito Campanelli new media theorist, is professor of theory and techniques of mass communications at the University of Naples “L’Orientale”. He is a founding member of the cultural MAO – Media & Arts Office ONLUS. His essays on digital culture and the arts are regularly published in the international arena.
