Following an accident Leonard Shelby suffers from a disorder of short-term memory, he can not remember anything that happens to him and to live has adopted an approach based on notes written on post-it notes and even on his skin. His body is covered with tattoos that give clues about what happened and what must be done. Leonard has a mission to accomplish, the larger tattoo says that his wife was raped and murdered by a certain John G. that is also the one hitting him in the head that caused the disturbance to memory: Leonard wants at all costs to find and kill him.
